NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Tri-State area residents were hit with more winds a day after power was knocked out for thousands of residents and heavy downpours flooded some roadways.

Cold winds with gusts of up to 45 mph whipped the Tri-State area Wednesday.
Residents are urged to bundle up since the winds will be ushering in colder air. Temperatures are expected to drop to 34 degrees by sunset.
On Monday, in Times Square, the windy weather was responsible for bringing down a 10-story canvas billboard from a building.
No injuries were reported.
On Long Island, a wind tunnel effect caused the roof of a hangar at MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma to peel off.
Wind gusts of up to 59 miles per hour were recorded on Long Island.
The high winds also caused delays of up to two hours at LaGuardia and Kennedy airports.
